Parents of large family to speak at Respect Life Dinner

James and Kathleen Littleton, parents of 14 living children and authors of the book “Better by the Dozen, Plus Two,” will be the featured speakers at the diocesan Respect Life Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Cater Inn, 1224 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria.

The Littletons, who have appeared on numerous Catholic television and radio programs and whose ministry “Forming Faithful Families” is based in Oak Forest, will share the story of how they came to be such a large family and the truths God taught them along the way.

They have 12 daughters and two sons, ranging in age from 4 to 24.
Proceeds from the dinner support the Family Resources Center, a free-loan library and educational outreach of the Diocese of Peoria’s Respect Life Board located at 321 Main in Peoria.

Tickets are $25 each if ordered in advance. Past dinners have sold out early, according to Charles Owens, founder and chairman of the event. To reserve seats, send payment to the Family Resources Center, Respect Life Dinner Tickets, 321 Main, Peoria, IL, 61602. For further information, call the center at (309) 637-1713.
