The Catholic Single Adults Club (CSAC) of Central Illinois is planning a picnic for new members for Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Wedgewood Swim and Tennis Club, 6616 N. Mountello Drive, in Peoria. It will begin at noon.

Because the group has the use of a picnic shelter, the event will take place rain or shine.

The meat and table service will be provided, but those who attend are asked to bring a side dish to share, as well as their own non-alcoholic beverages and lawn chairs. After the meal at 12:30 p.m., there will be outdoor games.

The cost to attend the picnic is $3. Those who wish to swim in the Wedgewood pool may do so for a $5 fee.

To give organizers some idea of how much meat will be needed, please call Cathy at (309) 688-1358 by Aug. 10 if you plan to come. Advance reservations are not required, however.

In addition, CSAC members are collecting school supplies that will be donated to children whose families cannot afford them. Donations are welcome but are not required to attend the picnic. For more information about this project, contact Nancy at (309) 686-6664.
