40 Hours devotion set in Chillicothe June 3-6

CHILLICOTHE — To celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, which is also called Corpus Christi, members of St. Edward’s Parish are planning 40 hours of eucharistic adoration between Thursday, June 3, and Sunday, June 6.

The doors of the church, 1216 N. Sixth St., will be open for prayer from 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 7 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. There will be a talk each evening at 7 p.m., followed by Benediction.

The speakers are: June 3, Msgr. Don Fitzpatrick, a senior priest of the Diocese of Peoria; June 4, Father William Miller, IC, pastor of St. Patrick’s and Corpus Christi in Galesburg and Sacred Heart in Abingdon; and June 5, Father Bruce King, IC, pastor of St. Matthew’s in Farmington.
