MOLINE — Eight members of the Knights of Columbus from around the Diocese of Peoria will be honored for outstanding service to the organization, the church, and their communities at the 22nd annual “Night of Knights” Recognition Dinner on Saturday, April 10.

Sponsored by the Peoria Diocese Chapter Knights of Columbus, this year’s event will be hosted by the Father Bill Betson Council, No. 11977, of Moline.

The 2010 honorees — selected from nominations open to all 60-plus councils in the diocese — represent a total of 324 years of service in the organization. They include:

— Msgr. Dale Wellman, St. Ambrose Council 12576, Milan
— Michael J. Daly, Father Bill Betson Council 1977, Moline
— Donnie Dobbelare, Leo Council 716, East Moline
— Everett Fritz, St. Clement Council 12407, Dunlap
— Clyde W. “Bud” Knight, Spalding Council 427, Peoria
— David J. Kraft, Father John D. Ring Council 574, Bloomington
— John L. “Jack” Michalski, Allouez Council 658, Rock Island, and
— Julius “Red” Pearson, Allouez Council 658, Rock Island

The evening will begin with a 4:30 p.m. Mass at Christ the King Church, 3205 60th Street in Moline. A social period will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Believers Together Center at the parish.

The dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with a program to follow.
