Offer Lenten series at St. Thomas, Peoria Heights

PEORIA HEIGHTS — “The Journey of Faith: Where Is It Taking Me?” is the theme of an adult education series for Lent that is being sponsored by St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.

The series is scheduled for the first four Tuesdays in March, with each session beginning at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the church, 904 E. Lake Ave. The topics and presenters are:

— March 2: “Where Is God Leading Me? Can I Trust God to Walk with Me?” by Father Tom Henseler, a priest of the Diocese of Peoria who currently is serving as pastor of Holy Family Parish in Mount Sterling and parochial administrator of St. Thomas Parish, Camp Point.

— March 9: “Can I Learn to Forgive as God Forgives? Forgive Us as We Forgive Others,” will be presented by Father Ed Carney, a senior priest of the diocese who was in private practice as a counselor for many years.

— March 16: “Making the Eucharist More Meaningful” will give a step-by-step explanation of the Mass by Msgr. William Watson, pastor, as he celebrates Mass for series participants.

— March 23: “Who Is My Neighbor?” will offer a presentation by members of the Haiti Mission Connection and Friends of the Children of Haiti.
