Members of the Christ Child Society of Central Illinois will meet on Thursdays, Feb. 18 and March 8, at the Christ Child House, 413 N.E. Monroe, in Peoria. Each gathering will begin at 12:30 and last until 3 p.m.

The Feb. 18 meeting will include a variety of simple crafts to assemble. These items will be sold at a later date to raise funds for the organization.

On March 8 the group will assemble layettes of baby clothing, diapers and blankets that will be distributed to local hospitals for families in need.

The Christ Child Society is in need of members with skills in fundraising, business and organizational skills and who have ideas for additional projects. Anyone interested in becoming a member is encouraged to attend.
