Parishes, schools to host NET Team youth retreats
THE NATIONAL Evangelization Team returns to the Diocese of Peoria from Nov. 11 to 24 to conduct a series of youth retreats at Catholic schools and parishes.
Each year approximately 100 young adults age 18 to 28 volunteer nine months to share what God has done in their lives. They are placed on nine different teams of eight to 12 people that travel the country.
The NET teams are part of NET Ministries, based in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis with the mission of challenging young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the church.
The schedule for the NET team in the diocese is as follows:
Nov. 11 to 13: Retreats for freshmen, sophomores and seniors at Schlarman High School, Danville
Nov. 14: Blessed Sacrament, Morton, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 15: Grades 6 to 12 at St. Mary of the Woods, Princeville, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nov. 17: Grades 7 to 12 at St. Teresa Parish, Earlville, from 4 to 9 p.m. Youths from the surrounding area are also invited to this day. Call the parish at (815) 246-4321 for more information.

Nov. 21: St. Matthew’s, Champaign, 4 to 10 p.m.
Nov. 22: Grades 7 to 12 at St. John’s Parish, Galva, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Nov. 24: Grades 7 and 8 at St. Mary’s, DePue
