Notre Dame Glee Club to sing in Bloomington Oct. 22

BLOOMINGTON — Central Catholic High School will sponsor a performance by the University of Notre Dame Glee Club on Thursday evening, Oct. 22, at St. Patrick’s of Merna Church, 1001 N. Towanda Barnes Road.

The club has invited the Central Catholic High School Choir to open the performance at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at Central Catholic at prices of $10 per adult or $7 per student or senior citizen.

Formed in 1915, the Glee Club has evolved into one of the nation’s premier collegiate men’s choruses and has toured throughout the U.S. and around the world. A typical concert program includes a first half of classical works of both sacred and secular nature. The second half contains popular music such as spirituals, folk songs, barbershop, and love songs, and the evening usually concludes with the Notre Dame Victory March.

For more information about the performance in Bloomington, call Paul Gesterling at Central Catholic, (309) 661-7000.
