CATHOLIC CHARITIES of the Diocese of Peoria will host open houses in Galesburg and Champaign later this month.

In Galesburg, those interested in finding out how to become a licensed foster caregiver through Catholic Charities are invited to visit the branch office at 292 N. Chambers St. from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16. A Catholic Charities staff member will be available to answer questions and provide information on the requirements for becoming a licensed foster caregiver.

In Champaign, an open house is planned from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1315A Curt Drive to honor the memory of Keith Page, weather reporter on WICD-TV, Channel 15, for 41 years. During the open house, a new employee lounge — furnished through a donation in memory of Page, who died Nov. 22, 2006 — will be dedicated.
