Praise the Lord My Soul will be the theme of a retreat planned by the Peoria Special Persons Encounter Christ Board for Saturday, Sept. 5, in the parish hall of St. Ann’s Church, 1010 S. Louisa St., Peoria.

All are welcome to take part in the afternoon, which is designed to give those with developmental disabilities an opportunity for sharing and fellowship “as we learn how Jesus invites the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts.”

Registration starts at noon and will be followed by lunch. The retreat will include two sessions, a craft activity and a song fest. Group members will end the afternoon at the parish’s 4:30 p.m. Mass.

There is no charge to participate in the retreat, but registration is requested by Monday, Aug. 10.
