Pro-life event June 7 specially invites youth

Young people throughout the Peoria area are being encouraged to take a stand in defense of the lives of unborn children next month in Peoria.

“Life Line,” a youth-focused pro-life event sponsored by Central Illinois Right to Life, will be held Sunday, June 7, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Peoria Stadium on War Memorial Drive.

“Everyone is welcome to participate in this event, but I am especially calling on the Peoria-area youth to step up and join the fight against abortion,” said Alexandria Reynolds, a 19-year-old Bradley University freshman who is planning the “silent protest of prayer.”

Those planning to participate should meet in front of the stadium around 1:30 p.m. to get signs and begin praying. Participants will line up and silently pray along War Memorial Drive from 2 to 3 p.m.
