Central Catholic Vision Campaign – $10M+ in under a year

BLOOMINGTON – Central Catholic High School’s $10M Vision campaign reached and exceeded its lofty goal in less than one year.
Following Central Catholic’s Saints Alive dinner auction last fall, the Catholic Post Online reported on a $1M donation for student mental health announced at the event as part of the campaign (“Central Catholic Celebrates $1M Gift for Student Mental Health,” Nov. 4, 2024).
Then, just before Christmas, Central Catholic president Sean Foster announced the campaign’s contributors had raised the roof on expectations – exceeding the $10M fundraising goal with total contributions of $10,407,150.
Every gift represents a shared hope for the future of our school,” – Vision campaign chairs Jared and Nikki Hall.
“Thanks to the belief and investment of our Saints family, we have exceeded our goal,” Foster said.
He indicated that 70% of funds raised through the campaign would be used to invest in key areas to support students and teachers to strengthen the academic experience and overall well-being of students. The other 30% of funds have been allocated for capital improvements.
The Vision campaign launched on Jan. 31, 2024.
STUDENT TUITION, TEACHER COMPENSATION
“Every gift represents a shared hope for the future of our school,” said Vision campaign chairs Jared and Nikki Hall.
The campaign has already underwritten the staffing of a Wellness Counselor position and a Learning and Behavior Specialist to support success at all levels.
Furthermore, the school’s endowment will increase by $3 million to provide more tuition assistance and increase teacher compensation. Annually, over 50% of the school’s student body qualifies and receives tuition assistance. As part of meeting this goal, Central Catholic has added five more full scholarships.
As well, a new track and synthetic turf was installed on Hundman Field earlier in 2024, and renovation of school entrances and the student commons is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of the 2025-26 school year.
