Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, will be the celebrant of a Diocesan Mass of Thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria.
At the Mass, prayers of gratitude will be offered not only for this year’s harvest but also for the blessings of faithful Catholics who assist in parishes and institutions of the diocese.
This year’s Mass combines elements of two former annual liturgies — the Harvest Mass and the Honors Mass. While no diocesan or papal honors are being bestowed this year, past honorees are specially invited to attend and wear their medals.
